A Question to INDIANS (2)

I have some questions to ask to INDIANS. I challenge you that you cannot answer. Try ..

I love my country. I am proud of being an Indian. But

Why do Indians expect more for their bridal daughters even though they expect the government should curb and control dowry system?

Though the practice of dowry is publicly condemned, legally banned and morally despised, it raises the status of woman in family. Dowry system is a crime. Boy's family asking dowry is crime, but bride's family expecting 6 figure salary is completely fine- I am not in support of dowry system. My father didnt ask for dowry from my moms family. My moms family didnt ask for 6 figure salary, neither they ask for any high luxury for their daughter from my father.

I got married. We never asked for any dowry. Still I had my head in the sand because I didnt have a big salary. After a lot of rejections, finally a sweet girl agreed to marry me living with her is easy because we get on like a house on fire.

Note- Dowry is indeed a crime. My point is- why nobody questions girls family when they expect high salary, high luxury from the boy even when the guy and the girl are of same standard? I am not asking anybody to get his daughter married to a pauper, or a guy who is earning Rs. 5k only. But judging a guy only based on amount of wealth is also unethical. There are many guys who earn decent salary but get rejected because they are not damn rich. In India many rich families marriages are happening according to Indian culture. So somehow I should be proud of my country. I am trying  my level best. But I cannot accomplish it due to Indian hypocrisy.

I have N number of questions. I ll catch you up by my next post.
